Well, dreams, they feel real while we're in them, right? It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange.

— Is this a dream?
— No.
— I thought not. If it were, there'd be rum.

— Sleep well?
— I never really sleep. Got one eye open always.
— You know, I never saw someone with one eye open snore so much.

When you have insomnia, you're never really asleep... and you're never really awake.

In sleep, we enter a world entirely our own. That might be swimming in the deepest ocean... or glide over the highest cloud...

What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

Close your eyes and pretend it's all a bad dream. That's how I get by.

An idea is like a virus. Resilient. Highly contagious. And the smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define... or destroy you.

But you would have to be half-mad to dream me up.

I've never been to this part of the castle. Well, not when I'm awake. I sleep-walk, you see. That's why I wear shoes to bed.

You never really remember the beginning of a dream, do you? You always wind up right in the middle of what's going on.
