Never make the same mistake twice.

— I know you have concerns. What happened yesterday to my man at the farm... It was a terrible thing.
— Oh, the dude getting his head blown off? Yeah.

Francesca, we got any bags? For money. Money-sized bags.

— Why can't you just arrest him, make him tell you?
— It's not that simple, baby. There's a little thing called the Constitution.

I like to think that the diamond... and the woman who wears it on her finger... are both formed from the same stuff.

— Tell me why you're doing this. Seriously.
— Why do you do it?
— Money, mainly.
— There you go.
— Nah, come on! Man, some straight like you, giant stick up his ass, all of a sudden at age, what, 60, he's just gonna break bad?
— I'm 50.
— It's weird is all, okay? It doesn't compute. Listen... if you've gone crazy or something... I mean, if you've... if you've gone crazy or depressed, I'm just saying... that's something I need to know about. Okay? I mean, that affects me.
— I am awake.

— No! No, no, no. You're making a mistake. This... this was not me! I swear to God I didn't do it!
— I don't know, man. It sounds like she's telling the truth to me.
— She has a gun to her head, kid. Everyone sounds like Meryl Streep with a gun to their head.

When you have children, you always have family. They will always be your priority, your responsibility, and a man... a man provides. And he does it even when he's not appreciated or respected or even loved. He simply bears up, and he does it... because he's a man.

When we do... what we do for good reasons... then we've got nothing to worry about. And there's no better reason... than family.

It always amazes me the way the senses work in connection to memory. I mean, this stew is simply an amalgam of ingredients. Taken separately, these ingredients alone don't remind me of anything. Hmm. Not very much at all. But, in this precise combination, the smell of this meal instantly — it brings me back to my childhood.
