But, you know, when choosing between two evils, I like to try the one that I haven't tried before.

What is the definition of insanity? It's doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. By that standard, most of us are insane.

— Stop sleeping.
— You mean «wake up». «Wake» up is positive. «Stop sleeping» is a negative.

I'll make you a deal, Bretton. You stop telling lies about me, I'll stop telling the truth about you.

And it will happen again because people like you and me want to be lied to. We like bedtime stories.

— Money's a bitch that never sleeps. And she's jealous. And if you don't pay close attention, you wake up in the morning, and she might be gone forever.
— Respectfully, Mr. Gekko, I don't want to end up where you are because of money.
— Oh, yeah. So marry it instead, right?

You're all pretty much fucked. You don't know it yet, but you're the NINJA generation. No income. No job. No assets. You got a lot to look forward to.

— What's up? You good?
— I can't! It's not up to me. Maybe I can do it, maybe I can't do it. People are telling me something.

— What's your number?
— I'm sorry?

— Your number. The amount of money you would need to just walk away from it and live. See, I find that everybody has a number, and it's usually an exact number. So what is yours?
— More.

— Either way, it's not my favorite part of the day.
— It's the best part of the day.
— I feel bad for anybody who feels that way. It means their day can't get any better.

Relationship is like bubble, it's fragile.

Idealism. Idealism, pal, it kills every deal.

The one thing I learned in jail is that money is not the prime asset in life. Time is.

Right now, it is ugly times ugly. And that's when the ugly get going.

Only the obsessive-compulsive and the insecurely egotistical feel the need to collect things.

As far as I'm concerned, it's just money. But when you don't know what you're doing, it's fatal, Mr. Moore. Not knowing what you're doing.
