What is the definition of insanity? It's doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. By that standard, most of us are insane.

— Stop sleeping.
— You mean «wake up». «Wake» up is positive. «Stop sleeping» is a negative.

And it will happen again because people like you and me want to be lied to. We like bedtime stories.

— Money's a bitch that never sleeps. And she's jealous. And if you don't pay close attention, you wake up in the morning, and she might be gone forever.
— Respectfully, Mr. Gekko, I don't want to end up where you are because of money.
— Oh, yeah. So marry it instead, right?

— What's up? You good?
— I can't! It's not up to me. Maybe I can do it, maybe I can't do it. People are telling me something.

— What's your number?
— I'm sorry?

— Your number. The amount of money you would need to just walk away from it and live. See, I find that everybody has a number, and it's usually an exact number. So what is yours?
— More.

— Either way, it's not my favorite part of the day.
— It's the best part of the day.
— I feel bad for anybody who feels that way. It means their day can't get any better.

— My name is Jacob Moore. I'm gonna marry your daughter.
— Does she know that?
— She pretended to.

— Do I hear revenge here? It's a dish you stick to cold, pal.
— I'm about to serve it up hot, Robby.

Good things takw time.
